Python Full Stack Developer

Location: London - 3 days a week onsite (non-negotiable)
Duration: 6 Months Initial Contract
Rate: £700-£800 per day Inside IR35

The Role

We're supporting a highly reputable Asset Management client who are seeking an experienced Python Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering business-critical investment and risk management solutions. You'll play a key role in the design, development and enhancement of enterprise-grade applications, working across the full software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Python engineering, Azure cloud technologies and modern front-end development, with the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. This role will involve developing and enhancing cloud-native applications, building integrations across data platforms, supporting investment risk data initiatives and leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.

Essential Experience

• Experience working within the Asset Management or Investment Management sectors
• Extensive hands-on Python development experience, delivering enterprise-level applications beyond scripting or proof-of-concept work
• Strong experience working within Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure Functions and associated cloud-native services
• Commercial experience developing front-end applications using Angular
• Experience working with Snowflake as part of modern data platform and analytics solutions
• Comfortable leveraging AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude or similar technologies to enhance engineering productivity
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and code quality standards
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable

• Knowledge of investment risk data, risk analytics platforms or portfolio management systems
• Experience building cloud-native solutions using Azure serverless architectures
• Exposure to modern data engineering concepts and large-scale data platforms
• Experience working with DevOps tooling and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Experience contributing to AI-enabled software development initiatives
