Assistant Accountant

Your new company
My client is a small, well-established, London-based charity.
Your new role
The role is on a part-time basis, 3 days per week. Duties will include:

• Maintain accurate financial records
• Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, receipts and payments
• Dealing with staff expenses in a timely manner
• Perform regular bank reconciliations using various currencies
• Monthly reconciliation of petty cash
• Assist with chasing of debtors
• Historical reconciliation of customer accounts
• Supporting other colleagues as required
• Assist with year-end and preparation of audit
• Answering audit queries
• Assisting FC in quarterly management accounts preparation
• Use of Xero finance system and Excel. Previous knowledge of Xero is essential

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need previous experience in accounts, including with the duties above. Knowledge and experience using Xero is also essential. If you were AAT qualified, or studying for AAT, this would also be an advantage.
