The Role

The successful candidate will teach Spanish across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love for languages and encourage students to achieve their full potential.

The school is seeking a dynamic classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge, high expectations and the ability to contribute positively to both the department and wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5

• Inspire students to develop confidence and enthusiasm for language learning

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing effective feedback to support attainment

• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities

• Contribute to curriculum planning and MFL enrichment opportunities

• Maintain positive classroom environments with high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Support students pastorally and academically throughout their school journey

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental and whole-school improvement

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing teacher training

• Degree in Spanish, Languages or a related subject

• Passion for MFL and language learning

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues

• Commitment to raising attainment, aspirations and student engagement

• Positive, proactive and collaborative attitude
