Job Title: Senior Scrum Master

Location: Portsmouth (Broad Oak) or Frimley, Bristol (Filton), Dorchester, New Malden hybrid - 1 day on site depending on business needs. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: Circa £68,500 depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

You will play a key role in the agile delivery of Navy software solutions, ensuring alignment with the Product Owner 's vision while championing Scrum and DevSecOps best practices. Working closely with software engineers and stakeholders, you will facilitate Agile delivery, remove obstacles, lead and coach teams, and drive continuous improvement, helping to deliver high-quality, reliable software for next-generation Royal Navy systems

Core duties:

  • Championing utilisation of the Agile/DevSecOps approach for the creation of new and modified code/test modules as part of a wider product solution
  • Lead and facilitate the effective operation of the Scrum team.
  • Drive a continuous learning and feedback process in relation to the DevSecOps approach
  • Direct line management responsibilities and coaching team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile practices, fostering self-organisation and accountability

Essential skills:

  • Significant experience operating as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops and drive consensus amongst diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching teams and leaders in Agile ways of working.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is preferred
  • Academic qualification in a STEM related subject, and ability/willingness to become a Chartered Engineer through an appropriate recognised professional institution
