Service Advisor

Our client is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join their busy team in Farnborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous automotive or dealership experience who enjoys working with customers and ensuring a smooth service experience from booking through to vehicle collection.

As a Service Advisor, you will act as the main point of contact for customers, liaising closely with the workshop and internal teams to ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities:

Welcoming customers and providing a professional and friendly service.

Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs and maintenance.

Taking accurate details of customer requirements and vehicle concerns.

Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process.

Preparing estimates and discussing additional work and repair requirements with customers.

Obtaining authorisation for additional work where required.

Liaising with Technicians and other departments to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.

Raising repair orders and ensuring all customer and vehicle information is accurately recorded.

Arranging vehicle collection and handovers.

Preparing invoices and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed correctly.

Dealing with customer queries and resolving any issues professionally.

Identifying opportunities for additional work and services where appropriate.

Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive customer-facing role.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong organisational and administration skills.

Good attention to detail.

The confidence to discuss repairs, estimates and costs with customers.

The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Good IT skills and experience using dealership or workshop management systems.

A full UK driving licence.

Salary: Up to £36k depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings on a rota
