Senior Special Events Manager

Salary: £53,000 FTE
Contract: 3 month Fixed Term Contract (ASAP through end of December), Full-time or 0.8 FTE
Location: Hybrid working (minimum 1 day/week in the London office)

We are delighted to be working with a national charity to recruit a Senior Special Events Manager on a 3 month interim contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional to join the team during their busiest fundraising period and lead the delivery of three established, high-profile Christmas events that play a vital role in supporter engagement and income generation.

This is a hands-on role focused on flawless event delivery rather than long-term strategy development. With plans already in place, they are looking for a proven events specialist who can quickly take ownership of event planning and execution, manage suppliers and stakeholders, oversee event budgets and logistics, and ensure an exceptional experience for supporters and guests. Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, partnerships, marketing and communications, you will help ensure these flagship events deliver against financial and engagement objectives.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and has the confidence and experience to hit the ground running. You'll be a highly organised project manager, an excellent communicator, and someone who enjoys bringing together people, suppliers and internal teams to deliver memorable events to a high standard.

To be successful as the Senior Special Events Manager, you will need:

• Significant experience delivering high-profile events, special events or fundraising events
• A strong track record of managing complex event logistics from planning through to delivery
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• A calm and solutions-focused approach, particularly when working to tight deadlines
