Transport Planner

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Transport Planner for a well-established Transport company based in the Hounslow, Middlesex area.

Transport Planner is responsible for the effective day-to-day Planning of the transport department's daily workload using the company's small fleet of HGV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:-

Start to finish with transport planning

Plan and organise collections and deliveries in accordance with customer requirements, agreed schedules, available capacity and operational priorities.

Co-ordinate the allocation of company drivers,

Ensure all movement instructions are communicated accurately and efficiently to drivers

Monitor movements throughout the day and proactively manage potential delays, disruptions or changes.

Maintain strong and professional working relationships with key customers and operational contacts.

Respond promptly and effectively to operational queries and requests.

Provide customers with accurate updates regarding the status of movements.

Manage customer expectations where delays, changes or operational difficulties arise.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 0830 - 1800.
