Accessibility Adviser

My client in Greater London are looking to appoint a talented Accessibility Adviser on a Contract basis.

You will support our Accessibility team to provide our customers with reasonable adjustments and alternative languages using various tools available. You will also support casework colleagues by sharing your expertise and knowledge on vulnerability and the Equality Act by listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, thinking pragmatically and communicating effectively.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £180 per day inside IR35

negotiable based on experience

About the role:

Based in Greater London (Hybrid):

• Making reasonable adjustments and supporting the daily output of the Accessibility team within agreed SLAs
• Advising our colleagues across the service on ways to work differently with vulnerable and/or disabled people
• Providing advice through our accessibility helpline and other channels for casework colleagues who need support around vulnerability, wellbeing or safeguarding

• Collaborate with other areas within our Customer Service Directorate

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

• Extensive experience in a similar role
• Demonstrating a working knowledge of the Equality Act 2010
• Being great at sorting out problems and thinking creatively when customers request reasonable adjustments
• Local Authority experience is essential
