Salary: M1-UPS3 (Outer London Pay Scale 2025/26: £37,870 - £56,154)

An ambitious and rapidly improving secondary school in Outer London is seeking to appoint a committed and inspirational Teacher of Business to join its dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate subject specialist who is eager to make a real difference to the lives and outcomes of young people. We are looking for a teacher who shares our belief that all students deserve access to an exceptional curriculum, high-quality teaching, and the highest expectations for achievement.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Business across Key Stages 4 and 5 (where applicable).

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote strong progress.

  • Contribute to raising attainment and improving student outcomes.

  • Develop students' understanding of business concepts, enterprise, and the wider economy.

  • Use assessment effectively to inform teaching and support progress.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and academic achievement.

  • Work collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school team.

  • Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status.

  • Has strong subject knowledge in Business or related disciplines.

  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching and improving outcomes for young people.

  • Has high expectations for all students, regardless of background or starting point.

  • Is reflective, resilient, and committed to professional growth.

  • Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Is able to inspire and motivate learners through high-quality teaching.
