Parkinson s UK is looking for a motivated project manager who will ensure the successful delivery of technical, cultural and strategically important projects across the charity. As a Project Manager, you'll be the driving force, applying your deep knowledge of project management methodologies and tools to manage the entire lifecycle of projects.

About the role

In this role you will work on community-driven projects with diverse stakeholders and understand the need for hard-stop project delivery deadlines.

You ll be an active member of the Performance & Programme Delivery (P&PD) team, working collaboratively across practices, and supporting the Senior Project Manager (Portfolio) in advocating for and nurturing good project management practice across the organisation.

This role is fixed-term for 12 months.

What you ll do

  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation and lead the delivery of projects

  • Use the Parkinson s UK project management standards in your delivery of change projects.

  • Coordinate activity to ensure requirements are clearly identified and prioritised, working in collaboration with the Business Analysts.

  • Identify, record and manage/resolve project risks and issues.

  • Work with the Senior Project Manager (Portfolio) and stakeholders to identify and support all Project-related activities.

What you ll bring

  • Experience managing the successful delivery of projects through planning, execution and closure

  • Experience bringing people together around a shared goal and building strong relationships at all levels

  • Demonstrable understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, scrum) and when to apply them

  • Able to prioritise own workload effectively, confidence to work autonomously and ability to enable others to meet challenging deadlines

  • Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers
