Cable Cutting Machine Operator

Location: Enfield
Pay: £13.70 per hour
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
Contract: Temporary, with potential to become permanent
Bonus: Uncapped annual performance-related bonus through a profit share scheme, paid each April

The Role

We are recruiting for a Cable Cutting Machine Operator to join a well-established business based in Enfield.

This is a hands-on role involving the operation of cable cutting machinery, where accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You do not necessarily need previous experience operating this specific machinery, as training can be provided. However, you must be comfortable learning how to operate machinery safely and accurately.

The role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating cable cutting machinery safely and efficiently
• Measuring and cutting cable accurately to customer/order specifications
• Setting up and learning how to operate machinery correctly
• Checking completed work to ensure accuracy and quality
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors
• Picking and packing customer orders
• General warehouse duties during quieter periods
• Keeping the warehouse and working areas clean, organised and safe

We're looking for someone who is:

• Highly attentive to detail, particularly when working with measurements and specifications
• Confident and willing to learn how to operate machinery
• A good communicator and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
• Flexible and happy to support with picking, packing and other warehouse duties when required
• Safety-conscious with a responsible approach to work

Previous warehouse or machine operating experience would be beneficial, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.
