Level 3 practitioner

A Level 3 Nursery Practitioner is a fully qualified early years educator who takes on a higher level of responsibility for planning, assessment, and leading daily activities within the room.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Planning: Design and implement age-appropriate educational plans following the EYFS framework to support child development.
• Key Person Duties: Act as the dedicated Key Person for a specific group of children, tracking their milestones and managing their learning journeys.
• Assessments & Reporting: Complete accurate progress checks, including the 2-year-old developmental review, and write transition reports for school readiness.
• Parent Partnerships: Lead formal parent consultation meetings and provide expert advice on behavioral or developmental milestones.
• Team Mentoring: Guide and support Level 2 practitioners, apprentices, and students working within the room.
• Health & Safety: Maintain impeccable hygiene standards, administer medication in line with policies, and act as a vigilant safeguarding advocate.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: A full and relevant Level 3 Diploma in Childcare / Early Years Educator qualification.
• Certifications: Valid Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Level 2, and Food Hygiene certificates.
• Experience: Proven experience working with children aged 0 to 5 years in a registered nursery setting.
• Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of EYFS statutory frameworks, child development theories, and safeguarding legislation.
• Attributes: Excellent leadership potential, strong organizational skills, and a warm, professional communication style.
