Job Requirements/Description

This is a role for someone who knows that great campaigns don't just inform people, they move them. Someone who can see the bigger picture, move quickly when an opportunity emerges, bring people together around a clear strategy, and turn a good idea into something impossible to ignore.

You'll work alongside our legal and campaigns teams to spot opportunities, shape bold campaign strategies and turn complex legal and political issues into compelling stories that people can understand, care about and act on. From developing digital campaigns that mobilise thousands of people, to leading projects that put pressure on decision-makers, you'll help transform our work in the courts into action.

We are especially looking for people with experience campaigning in: fighting the far right, actions against the police and political campaigning.

What we're looking for

  1. Campaigning: Experience as a strategic campaigner, with a track record of implementing digital tactics that mobilise thousands, raise income, grow lists, and secure change. Experience writing excellent, persuasive copy for different audiences, making complex cases into compelling calls for action.

  2. Working at speed: Experience working in a fast-paced, reactive environment, comfortable with quick decision-making and delivery.

  3. Project management: Experience managing multi-faceted projects, ideally coordinating between different specialisms (e.g. legal, tech, and comms).

  4. Political & economic awareness: A keen understanding of the political landscape, particularly focused on party politics, the rise of the far right and civil rights.

What we do

GLP is a progressive not-for-profit organisation that uses the law to stand against hate and bring hope. Founded in 2017 by Jolyon Maugham KC and based in London, we have grown to employ almost 50 staff with an annual turnover exceeding £5m. Our unique approach of combining cutting-edge legal expertise with powerful public campaigns creates a real, systemic impact that those in power cannot ignore.

We hold power to account and remove the steep barriers of expense and resource to help marginalised communities secure their day in court. This work is fueled by an extensive digital infrastructure, including a dedicated supporter base of nearly 1 million people and around 30,000 monthly donors.

See our website for more about what we do.
