An experienced Learning Support Assistant is required to join school-based teams supporting pupils across primary, secondary and SEN provisions in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. These opportunities are suited to professionals with previous experience working with young people, who can provide consistent and effective classroom support.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain an orderly and supportive learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers and wider support teams.
• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Follow school procedures and individual pupil strategies.
• Promote independence rather than creating unnecessary reliance on adult support.

You will need:

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, consistency and professionalism.
• The ability to respond appropriately to different pupil needs.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people to progress.

SEN experience is beneficial, although candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.
