Interviews: ASAP

Start: Late September

Charity People are recruiting an experienced Advice & Navigation Manager to lead two community focused services for a much loved charity.

The Advice and Navigation Manager is responsible for leading the charity's advice, navigation and social prescribing services, ensuring that residents, particularly those experiencing inequality, exclusion or multiple disadvantage, receive high quality, safe and effective support that helps them navigate complex systems and address interlinked social, economic and health challenges.

Leading a relatively new team, you will provide day-to-day support, guidance and oversight while acting as the service's expert practitioner on complex casework.

Success in this role will come from your ability to quickly build trust, support staff with challenging cases, use data and insight to improve practice, and create stability within the team. This is very much a role for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and rolling up their sleeves when needed.

You'll line manage around four team members, oversee service delivery across two connected services, support complex case reviews, contribute to rota management, and occasionally provide direct service support to ensure residents continue to receive an excellent service.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with people, supporting complex casework, developing staff and ensuring services run smoothly. You'll manage around four team members, oversee service delivery, review cases, use data to drive improvement and help create a stable, supportive environment for both staff and residents.

You will bring:

  • Experience in people management
  • Confidence supporting complex casework
  • Excellent communication skills - relational, approachable, and flexible
  • Experience in using data, insight and CRM systems
  • Leadership skills with hands-on service delivery experience
  • Passion about improving outcomes for communities experiencing disadvantage
  • Significant experience working in a client focused advice or support service from a community, voluntary or health setting

You could come from social prescribing, advice and guidance, community services, disability services, health, wellbeing, or broader support service environments.

If you are the kind of manager who leads from the front, loves supporting teams and can quickly get to grips with complex services and casework, then this role could be perfect for you. Please apply without delay as this role will be interviewed on a rolling basis.

There is scope for this role to be extended dependant on the success of the delivery.
