The Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lecturer - Inclusive Learning Lecturer to join our Inclusive Learning department at Southall campus.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Inclusive Learning programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential. The role involves classroom and workshop-based delivery, learner support, assessment, and contribution to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains industry-relevant and aligned with awarding body requirements.

Where appropriate, you may also take responsibility for leading a study programme or course, including curriculum design, quality assurance and learner outcomes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive teaching, learning and assessment across Inclusive Learning programmes, adapting delivery to meet individual learner needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Prepare differentiated lesson plans, schemes of work and accessible teaching materials that promote independence, communication, English, Maths and employability skills.
  • Act as a Personal Tutor, providing academic, pastoral and wellbeing support while monitoring attendance, progress, behaviour and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support, families and external professionals to identify barriers to learning and implement effective support strategies.
  • Support learners to develop independence, confidence and employability through work experience, enrichment and meaningful progression opportunities.
  • Assess and record learner progress effectively, contributing to individual learning plans, EHCP reviews and appropriate qualifications where required.
  • Promote high standards of safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, health & safety and learner wellbeing.
  • Contribute to learner transition, recruitment, progression and quality improvement activities.
