We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Head of Year to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and personal development.

Working closely with students, families, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the pastoral care of a designated year group.
• Monitor and improve student attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
• Support safeguarding and student welfare initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure positive outcomes.
• Promote the highest standards of conduct, achievement, and engagement.

• Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
