Domiciliary Optical Assistant - North West London & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £28,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance
Monday to Friday - No Weekends - Full Time

The Opportunity

A very exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Optical Assistant to join a respected domiciliary eye care provider covering North West London and the surrounding areas.

If you enjoy helping people but would like to move away from the traditional high street environment, this could offer a refreshing change.

You'll be visiting patients in their own homes, supporting an Optometrist and helping to provide a high standard of eye care to people who may struggle to access a traditional practice.

You'll also benefit from a genuine Monday-to-Friday working week with no weekends, giving you a much better work-life balance.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting domiciliary eye care clinics
• Visiting patients in their own homes
• Dispensing spectacles, including varifocals
• Helping patients with frame selection
• Taking measurements and carrying out adjustments
• Working alongside an Optometrist to deliver excellent patient care
• Completing approximately 8-12 dispenses per day
• Providing a calm, caring and professional service

What We're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

• At least 12 months' experience working within optics
• Previous spectacle dispensing experience
• Confidence working independently
• A friendly, patient and caring approach
• A full clean UK driving licence
• Access to your own vehicle
• Varifocal dispensing experience would be beneficial
• Acuitas experience or a care background would be advantageous, but isn't essential
