An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contracts Officer to join a busy Property Services team within a well-established London Local Authority based in Wembley. This is an ongoing temporary position offering hybrid working and an immediate start for the right candidate.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of property investment, repairs, servicing and compliance programmes, ensuring high-quality administrative and contract support across the Property Services function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to support the Property Services Team.
  • Maintaining accurate asset management data and records to support repairs, investment and cyclical maintenance programmes.
  • Supporting customer and stakeholder engagement activities to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitoring performance and expenditure and maintaining comprehensive records and documentation.
  • Managing documentation and legal preparations required for tenancy and leasehold enforcement actions.
  • Coordinating the full forced entry process for gas safety inspections and planned works in accordance with housing legislation.
  • Liaising with residents, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful programme delivery.
  • Preparing reports, performance information and correspondence as required.

Essential Requirements

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of project administration.
  • Understanding of landlord gas safety obligations and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance.
  • Understanding of landlord property access requirements and enforcement procedures.

Experience

  • Previous experience within a customer service or administrative office environment.
  • Experience monitoring performance and resolving service delivery issues.
  • Strong experience using databases, Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheets.
  • Experience preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience working collaboratively with contractors, residents, stakeholders and internal service teams.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload independently and prioritise effectively.
