Job Title: Pupil Support Administrator
Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge, UB8 3HD
Salary: £29,500 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 38.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term- November 2027 | Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, organised and proactive Pupil Support Administrator to join our dedicated school community on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and their families. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, improving attendance, strengthening relationships between home and school, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding position. You will work closely with pupils and families to identify and address attendance concerns, develop support plans, coordinate interventions and help create positive outcomes for vulnerable learners.

You'll be an important link between home and school, building trusted relationships with families, supporting reintegration following periods of absence, and working collaboratively with staff and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

Monitor attendance and punctuality, identifying concerns and supporting improvements.
Work with pupils and families to overcome barriers to attendance and engagement.
Coordinate attendance interventions, support plans and reintegration programmes.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, staff and external agencies.
Conduct attendance meetings, home visits and outreach support where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation while promoting positive attendance across the school.

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting pupil attendance and working with families.
Ideally experienced in a school or educational setting.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
Confident working independently and as part of a team.
Competent IT skills and accurate record-keeping abilities.
Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and improving outcomes for young people.

About Us

At Hillingdon Manor, we provide specialist education for 185 pupils, aged between 10 and 19. Located across two sites, our Secondary School supports around 125 students. Our students are taught in smaller class sizes and all students work towards a variety of qualifications dependent on their needs and ability.

The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each pupil’s potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. We provide students with as much freedom as possible in a safe and supervised environment. This is achievable due to the dedication and support from a range of employed professionals who are passionate, reliable, and understanding.

For over 19 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
