FAMILY RIGHTS GROUP
South East

Family Rights Group's mission is to create a more socially just society in which the child welfare and family justice systems support children to live safely and thrive within their family, while strengthening the family and community networks of those children who cannot live at home.
We are unique in bringing together legal and social work expertise with the direct voice and insights of young people and families. Our work includes advice and advocacy for parents and kinship carers, the creation of family-led solutions in child welfare, the championing of kinship care, and the amplification of family voices and experiences.
As Family Rights Group's Digital Communications Officer, you will work to plan, develop and deliver a range of informed, creative, impactful and accessible digital content for our external audiences to increase visibility and engagement with the charity's work and in line with our strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for the ideation, production, editing, and publishing of standout content that reaches diverse audiences, including policy-makers and politicians, donors and supporters, and families with experience of the child welfare system, as well as the wider public.
You will oversee the day-to-day management of our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, BlueSky and LinkedIn), developing our digital presence, engaging with our target audiences, and increasing the charity's reach.
Communications at Family Rights Group is a team effort. You will work closely with colleagues across Family Rights Group, and particularly with our Content Creator and Digital Marketing Strategist in our Public Affairs and Communications team. You will collaborate on a dynamic, diverse content plan that amplifies our mission, with a focus on the voices and experiences of families and young people.
This is a hands-on role that requires a strong interest in the child welfare system and our mission, combined with the technical expertise to be able to develop written and audio-visual content.
The charity is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of its work, including employment.
