As a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3), you will work closely with Class Teachers, Early Years Practitioners and support staff to deliver high-quality provision across Nursery and Reception.

What will you be doing as a Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3)?

• Supporting children across Nursery and Reception on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis
• Delivering Phonics, Reading, Writing, Spelling and early Maths activities
• Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through creative, practical and play-based learning
• Leading targeted interventions for children who require additional support
• Supporting pupils with mild to moderate SEN, including ASD, ADHD and Speech & Language needs
• Encouraging children to develop confidence, independence and positive communication skills
• Creating stimulating learning areas, displays and classroom resources
• Supporting children with routines, transitions, behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teaching staff to monitor progress and identify areas for further support

Nursery or Reception Teaching Assistant (Level 3) - Candidate Specification

• Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification - CACHE or equivalent
• Previous experience within Nursery, Reception or another Early Years setting
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Confident supporting early Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy
• Creative, enthusiastic and proactive approach to working with young children
• Comfortable working as part of a busy and collaborative Early Years team
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing personality
• Aspiring Primary Teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
