Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client in the search for an Interim Communications Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join a purpose-driven organisation during a key period of activity. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will lead the delivery of strategic communications initiatives, develop engaging content, manage a range of projects and campaigns, and help strengthen the organisation's profile across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver integrated communications plans that support organisational objectives.
- Lead the creation of high-quality content across digital, print and internal communications channels.
- Manage communications projects and campaigns from planning through to delivery and evaluation.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing expert communications advice and support.
- Oversee website content and contribute to ongoing digital development initiatives.
- Support media relations activity and identify opportunities to raise organisational profile.
- Ensure brand consistency and accessibility standards are maintained across all communications outputs.
- Monitor and report on communications performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate competing priorities across multiple projects while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Contribute to wider organisational initiatives and support cross-functional collaboration.
Key Requirements:
- Significant experience in a communications, public affairs, marketing or external affairs role.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver successful communications strategies and campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing content for a variety of audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Understanding of digital communications, content management systems and performance reporting.
- Experience within the charity, public sector or wider not-for-profit sector would be advantageous.
