Job Requirements/Description

Harris Hill is delighted to be supporting Barts Charity in the recruitment of a Prospect Development Manager - a pivotal role within the Major Gifts team, helping to drive ambitious income growth through high-quality prospect research, pipeline development and insight.

Barts Charity is East London's oldest healthcare charity and the dedicated charity for Barts Health NHS Trust. Working alongside its partners and supporters, the charity funds improvements to healthcare and transformative research that can make a lasting difference to the health and lives of people in East London and beyond.

As Prospect Development Manager, you'll lead prospect development, pipeline insight and research activity, ensuring fundraisers have the intelligence, tools and data they need to identify, qualify and progress high-value opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Spot the opportunities that could make a real difference - finding and researching individuals, trusts and companies with the potential to become significant supporters of Barts Charity.
  • Help fundraisers focus their time where it matters most - bringing together research, data and insight to highlight the strongest opportunities and keep prospects moving through the pipeline.
  • Make great fundraising decisions easier - ensuring prospect information is accurate, useful and up to date, while supporting good practice around due diligence and data.

What they're looking for

  • Proven prospect research experience is essential, with experience identifying, researching and qualifying high-value prospects to support fundraising growth.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret research and data and turn it into clear, practical recommendations for fundraisers.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with experience working with fundraisers and senior stakeholders and confidence using Salesforce or a comparable CRM.

What's on offer

Salary of £45,000-£49,000, 30 days' annual leave plus bank holidays and a 10% employer pension contribution. The role is hybrid, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays based in Barts Charity's London office and the remaining days worked remotely, with some additional office attendance when required.

To apply, please send your CV and a supporting statement of no more than two A4 pages, demonstrating how you meet the key skills and experience required, to Hannah Laking at Harris Hill:

Closing date: 16 September

Interviews:
