QTS English Teacher (Up to A-Level)ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is looking for dedicated and passionate QTS English Teachers to provide high-quality English tuition and educational support to students across Westminster.

As a QTS English Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons in English Language and English Literature up to A-Level standard. This role is ideal for experienced teachers who are looking for a more flexible teaching opportunity while continuing to make a significant impact on students' academic achievement and confidence.

You will work with students of varying abilities, helping them develop critical reading, analytical writing, and communication skills. Many students may require additional support to reach their full potential, whether preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, resits, or university entry requirements.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor student progress and provide ongoing support throughout your placement.

• Position - QTS English Teacher
• Type of work - English Teaching / 1:1 Tuition

• Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing, dependent on student requirements

• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/Part time - Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour
• Hours - Sessions typically range from 1 to 3 hours, with flexible scheduling available

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Degree in English, English Literature, English Language, or a related subject
• Minimum 6 months' experience teaching in a UK secondary school
• Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level English Language and/or English Literature
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and examination specification

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold QTS and the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
