SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a caring, patient and confident SEN TA to join a mainstream primary school in Bromley, supporting pupils with additional needs across KS1 and KS2.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has previous SEN experience, is confident supporting children on a 1:1 basis, and has strong behaviour management skills.

About the Role

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs

• Work across KS1 and KS2, depending on the school's requirements

• Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development

• Deliver individual and small-group activities

• Assist teachers with classroom learning and day-to-day routines

• Use positive and consistent behaviour management strategies

• Encourage pupils to build confidence, independence and engagement

• Adapt support to suit individual learning and behavioural needs

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous SEN experience - essential

• Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, childcare or a related area

• Experience supporting pupils 1:1

• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

• The flexibility to work with children across KS1 and KS2

• Experience or confidence working within a mainstream primary school

• A calm, supportive and patient approach

• A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
