Agency Designated Teacher (Looked-After and Previously Looked-After Learners)

We are seeking a dedicated Agency Designated Teacher to provide sickness cover during the first term of this academic year at our college. This role is a fixed-term contract until 18th December 2026, with an immediate start date.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide educational support specifically tailored to looked-after and previously looked-after learners.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the educational outcomes of these students.
- Work closely with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to the education and welfare of looked-after children.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, implementing interventions as necessary.
- Engage with external agencies and stakeholders to support the educational needs of the students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in working with looked-after and previously looked-after children.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by these students in the educational system.
- Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, parents, and external agencies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
